Inspired by Cuban innovation during the "Filîn" and big band era, the group began performing live with a residency at Cafe Erzulie (BKNYC) in 2017 which would last five years.  They helped inaugurate the bar's acclaimed "Jazz Night" while performing outdoors during the height of the pandemic.
